re: All Applicants MUST READ before applying.

Postby Rraarr on Thu Oct 18, 2007 2:25 am
Thank you for taking the time to consider joining our guild. Before applying please take a few moments to read over some things about us, our rules, and some guidelines.

About Us We are a medium-core raiding guild on the Madoran Server. Our current GMs were former Assistant GMs of the guild, Seven Deadly Sins. We decided to part ways with SDS due to unhappiness and disagreements with the GM. After leaving, we realized we had more support than we thought and created this guild. More than the 10 needed for the guild charter came to sign and that was encouraging. We are currently Raiding Karazhan and other end game raids and are always looking for more players to join our Growing family. We are currently only accepting level 70 geared/experienced players of the listed classes to the left. We are a guild looking to have fun in raids but we are now starting to take raiding to the next level of seriousness. ( Though we aren't like the Hardcore machine raiding guilds out there)

GENERAL GUILD RULES

1. We DO NOT tolerate any forms of Drama. If you have a problem with someone or something, keep it OUT of Guild Chat, bring it into whispers only and Notify a GM or officer immediately. Creating or fueling drama will result in a G-Kick with NO questions asked.

2. Be respectful to others. You have to give respect to receive it. Respect high rank's authority, do not worry about how they do their jobs, it's your own job that you have to watch out for, people didn't get promotions for doing nothing at all.

3. Have a sense of humor, if you dish out jokes, be ready to receive them back. If you can dish out jokes constantly but cry when someone does it to you, we will NOT give sympathy.

4. Treat others outside the guild as you would if they were fellow guild mates. It's our name that will be above your head, so continue to give us a good reputation. Each and every guild member represents RiB as a whole, one bad member can take us down. If the GMs or Officers are informed of poor behavior towards people out of the guild, it may result in an instant kick, with very few questions asked.

5. We will no longer be tolerating elitists in this guild. If you think you are better than everyone else in the guild, then you're too good for the guild, get out or we will help you find the door. We do not want your attitude. It's ok to be proud of your character, but no one is better than anyone else in this guild, we're a large group of people working as one.

6. Think before you speak in Guild Chat/Raid chat/Officer chat/public chats. If we see any serious insults flying around, talking down to other members, degrading them, etc. we will give one warning before either removing your chat rights within the guild or removing you from the guild completly.

7. If you need to leave the game for a period of time (i.e. Vacation, break, etc.) let the GMs know so they don't rely on you for that period of time and can find someone to replace you if you have a role in the guild/raids.

8. Have fun! Too many times people start to forget this is just a game, just have fun and DO NOT let real life issues leak into the game, it will affect us all most likely. It doesn't hurt to talk to us about problems but don't take a bad attitude into the game or Guild Chat. You came to raid, so do so the best you can.

9. We have monthly (at least) meetings where we take suggestions, ideas, and this is where you let us know what needs to be changed or improved. This should be the ONLY time you make these suggestions, keep your ideas to yourself until we have our meetings, where all input is welcome. If you miss your chance either send your input to a gm the night before or wait till next time. If you don't agree with a decision get over it, the guild decided, and you can voice your opinion next meeting,

10. Any questions ask an Officer or GM, don't be afraid to ask questions, our officers are here to help and thats what they intend to do. They will do the best they can to help answer your questions or point you in the right direction of who to ask.

11. Be as helpful as you can, if you expect help from the guild, you better be willing to help others as well. Our guild bank is here for everyone, but to give people things they need, we also need a steady amount of donations.

12. We also wish for you to be as active as possible in game, and on this website, it creates a better atmosphere on and off the game.

13. Please keep Guild Chat at least SEMI-Clean so we do not offend anyone.

14. Please note that we are NOT a hardcore raiding guild. We are a medium core, meaning we raid as much as we can, when we can. A LOT of us have greater real life events taking place. So please do NOT expect Raids 24/7.

15. Again, HAVE FUN, whether it be PvE, PVP, or justing BSing in G-Chat, have fun while you do, like I've said before it's just a game.

RAID SCHEDULES:
Karazhan: Weekly Kara raids vary from week to week and from group to group
Early Kara: 5:30-8:30 pm Server
Late Kara: 6:00- Varies PM server
Weekend Kara: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday(optional) Nights, 7:00-10:00 pm Server
25 Man Scheduals Vary week to week

PLEASE NOTE: THESE TIMES/SCHEDULES WILL VARY AND EDITED FREQUENTLY CHECK YOUR GROUP CALENDAR CONSISTENTLY TO BE UP TO DATE

RAID RULES

1. As stated above, do not take any Drama ANYWHERE in the guild, including raids. It will result in instant removal from the Raid and you will be replaced.

2. Also as stated above, no ELITIST attitude, if there is that kind of attitude present we will show you that we don't want you here.

3. As far as loot goes, it is *BASICALLY* an open roll system, with some limits to that, as to where if you need an item roll on it. On ALL epics that drop, members are required to pass first and then /roll if they need the item. Obviously, someone who has a better attendance, seniority (as to the need of the item), came prepared all the time, and is in good standing with the guild, or the item is more of an upgrade for them, will increase the chance of automatically winning the item. with GM and/or Raid leader approval.

4. Do as your assigned Raid leader says. They were chosen for reasons, they know what they're doing, trust in them to get the job done and to make the right calls , even if the call isn't in your favor, maybe if you step back and assess the situation you may make yourself look selfish if you make a scene about it. If the raid leader assigns you a job to do in a specific fight, you must do the best you can to get that job done. Failure to listen, comply, or follow the rules will result in suspension of raids, with the approval of the GMs.

5. Hold your own in raids, bring your OWN consumables, buffs, reagents, gear (100% repaired), repair money, and Boss knowledge to the Raids. The raid leader should not have to spend 20 minutes explaining the boss fight on top of his/her healing/tanking/dps assignments. We are no longer going to hold people's hands in 25 man raids. (Beginning Kara is another story)

6. If you don't get an invite to a raid, even if you sign up or not, keep your frustration to yourself. We have too many members to cycle through, as well as to progress along with it. Trust the raid leaders' decisions, they know what they need as far as classes and gear go. In progression runs we take priority in better geared players and players who are COMPLETELY prepared every time they raid. In farming runs we cycle raiders as much as possible till people have what they need. Not getting invited may mean you need to work on your gear more, you may have not been prepared, you may not use your toon to the best of your advantage, or you just might have not lucked out and we chose another player for the time. It doesn't mean we've forgotten about you.

7. We are a raiding guild. We EXPECT members to be online at least 45 minutes before the raid (with exceptions), with everything listed in Raid Rule # 5, and you outside the Raid instance 20 minutes before the raid. Too many times we have wasted hours on end waiting for members to get to the place so we can start, we will no longer tolerate that, we will replace you and get someone who can be ready faster next time. If you say you can make it, be online at the appropriate times, if you have to be late, let a GM know ahead of time so they can let the Raid leader know. If you come on late with not one bit of notification, don't be pissed off if you're replaced by a newer members or a PUG. Attendance is awarded (if you participate in the raid or not), if you're online on time, prepared, and knowledgeable ALL the time, expect to see far more raid time compared to someone who never does any of those things.

8. As it will be listed below, Team speak is REQUIRED during raids. You do not need a mic, you just have to listen. On top of that, keep all chatter in Raid Chat only, The only people talking during raid fights should be the Raid leaders, their assigned assistants, and the GMs. If you continuously talk out in TS, we will forcefully mute you on team speak so that no one can hear you. All buff requests, death announcements, and so forth shall be done in Raid chat only.

9. As listed above again, HAVE FUN!!! Raid to the best of your ability, get the job on, and we can all share the loot at the end of the day and one day earn bragging rights on the server.

10. If you do have ANY kind of Damage Meter used during the raid, do NOT post the damage reports of any kind in Raid chat, use only in whispers or if the Raid leader asks for it. Our Raids are NOT damage competitions, we're working together, not competing to be the top Damage. You will be warned once, second time you're out of the raid for the night.

11. Do NOT expect a spot in raids, EVER, at any time a raid leader can switch you out with someone else if needed.

RECRUITMENT INFORMATION/RULES

Ranks:
Trial Member: You will join the guild on a trial status, this is where you begin in RiB, where the officers will assess you. You will be allowed to raid (you won't have priority please note) but you will be at the end of the line for any loot dropped, If none of the members in the raid need the gear as a main set then and only then you will be allowed to roll, we do not wish to gear up people we do not know will be loyal and useful in higher end raids. Your trial status will end when we beleive you are trustworthy to be called a full time member. Too many times have we geared up people to have them leave on us.

Dragonling: Basic Member status, you are allowed to raid, compete for gear, and so on.

Dragonkin: Basic Officer Status. Here to help others, carry out GM and Blood knight tasks.

Blood Knight: Senior Officers of the Guild, they have are just a step below the GMs. They carry out assignments for the GMs, lead raids, and so on.

Guild Mom and GM Assists: The Guild Masters of the guild, what they say goes. They do the raid schedule's, the recruiting, so on. Nothing any member does goes unnoticed by them. Decisions for the guild are made with agreement between themselves and their officers and members. They have the ultimate say in the guild but are always willing to hear suggestions.

1. As a trial member, you are expected to be on your best behavior in this guild, along with all it's members. We will call upon trial members to run groups with us and our members so we can asses you play style, your gear, your skill, and for you to prove your worth to us. Once your gear is up to par, your skill meets our requirements, and so on, you will be promoted to Dragonling where you will be a full-time member of Renaissance in Blood.

2. Family members are welcome to the guild, but they still have to go through the application and trial member process, just have them note on their application that they are a relative to *your name*.

3. All members, new recruits, Senior members, and GMs are all required to follow all these rules that have been listed on this page.

Thank you for taking the time to read over these rules and information, as long as it was it will help us maintain a great atmosphere in our guild, and we do not tolerate people who break these rules, so please make sure your read over these carefully and remember them when you interact with the RiB tag above your toon.
Now that you have finished reading this page, please take the time to fill out our quick and simple application, which can be found here ( http://renaissanceinblood.guildlaunch.com/recruiting/application.php?gid=16224 ) or on the left side of the website. Once you submit it, please continue to check back, as we may reply to you on your application (it will create a topic with your name on it once you submit the app.) that will require you to respond. If you do not get an accepted/denied notice within the first 4 days, then please contact us in game. But before the first 4 days, do not contact us in game, you are more than welcome to contact us on the website though. Anyone Denied will remain in our database of applicants for at least 2 months before being deleted, in case a spot opens up.

Thank you

Renaissance in Blood
